FAQ

Welcome to our FAQ

What is the difference between a heritage breed and a regular one?

Heritage breeds are animals that our forefathers originally farmed. They are slow-growing breeds that excel at foraging and have great vigour, and are naturally reproducing.

What is the difference between a lard breed pig and a bacon breed?

Lard breeds are used for producing lard, cooking fat, and a mechanical lubricant. These pigs are compact, thick, have short legs and deep bodies. Bacon pigs grow more slowly and put on more muscle than fat.
