(Mostly) Meishan Pigs For Sale

Weanlings & Growers

Pet/Meat Quality

Barrows and gilts that do not meet breeding quality.

Meishans pigs originate from China. They are a slower-growing, extremely docile breed. Unfortunately, there have been very few imports into North America and at this time, there are no 100% breeding herds in Canada. For now, our Meishans are “mostly” Meishans a result of an AI program; they are percentage Meishans. They look and act like a Meishan but are not registered. Meishans are a docile breed that loves to forage. They produce very dark meat full of flavour—an excellent homestead pig.
