Ossabaw Island Hogs – For Sale
Weanlings & Growers
– Pet/Meat Quality
Barrows and gilts that do not meet breeding quality.
Ossabaw Island Hogs are playful and energetic. If worked with regularly, they are friendly and will squeak stories each time they see you. The Ossabaw Island Hog has long legs and a long snout. They are fantastic at clearing brush and can live in more rugged areas. Due to their stature, they are agile and active pigs that need good fences, plenty of room to move, and stimulation to keep their minds active. Typically Ossabaws have a live butcher weight of 175-220 pounds, which they reach at 14-18 months old.
